I was having a discussion with my mom about politics, and a question came up. Are politics getting better as years go on, are they getting worse, or have they always been crap? She brought up some crappy politicians in the 40s,50s, and 60s. I brought up more recent ones. Her conclusion was that they have always been crap. My conclusion is that they are getting worse. Whats your conclusion?  |

I think regardless of who is running a country, politics suck. Why? Because no matter who you are, power goes to your head. And you also naturally, as a human, make decisions with yourself in mind.
Therefore, if you don't relate to the minorities, your not going to go out of your way to please them.
Therefore, you can't please anyone.
Therefore, You aren't the ideal leader.
Therefore, politics suck, because theres no such thing as an ideal leader, only one that can please more than 50% of people.

assassinations? I dunno. I think things could either turn out really good or really bad regardless of who goes into power. |
