How many people actually get offended these days by Racial slurs. Why is it okay for one person of one race to call another person of that same race a racial slur yet they get offended when somebody who's not that race uses whatever word? What do you guys think?

I just don't really care about them. I have friends of different races and we'll yell raciest stuff at each other and not really care.

The following thoughts are a little fragmented, but try to stay with me here:
Yeah racism sucks, and I have friends of almost all races (except for Eskimo), but it's foolish to be afraid of a word. If someone calls me "birdshit" or "honkey" or "cracker" I personally take no offense at all, but it should stop--not because others get offended (that's just political correctness), but because it's disrespectful. Obviously I'm not going to call a black person the N-word*, not out of fear that I'll get assaulted or whatever, it's just because I respect them as a race. But being politically correct is stupid.
*There's a difference between "saying" a word and "using" it. If ProBoards didn't censor the N-word, I would type it out (saying it, not using it) to make a point that it's dumb to be afraid of words like this. That shows a weakness (remember in Harry Potter how it's dumb to be afraid of saying "Voldemort"?). I know I'm not racist, you know I'm not racist, and you all are not racist, so why sugar-coat things and create a facade of political-correctness? Let's not perpetuate this uptight-ness.
We will never be able to completely eradicate all racial slurs. If you try to get rid of one, you have to get rid of them all, which as nice as that would be, it will never happen. Anyone like NFL? The "Washington Redskins" is very offensive to the Indians (Native Americans, my bad) because that's a slur to their people. They've asked many times for that name to be changed, but it will never leave. My World Cultures teacher used this as an example last year. Now imagine if that NFL team had a black slur in it, and the team's mascot was a slave eating a watermelon. That shit wouldn't fly for a day, would it?
Look how we stomp on the Indians, or persecute people for being gay, lesbian, or bisexual. But racial slurs are ok? No, screw that.
Racial slurs are bad and they ALL should be gotten rid of, but rather than doing that we're increasing both the use and number of racial slurs while simultaneously trying to be more politically correct, a move that hurts the cause. Political correctness is good hearted, but it's JUST AS IGNORANT as using racial slurs.
