About your baby (no offense) but maybe rushing her to ER was a little drastic (I mean I wasnt there so I dont know how bad it was)...maybe next time just hold her and rock her little, get her some millk ..just all the standard and then wait an hour, if she is still crying then take her. (My mum is a nurse...I know some things ) I think that taking her to ER was what sent your partners mum over the edge. I think to keep her away I would just spend most attention on the child (even if that means coming on here less cause less face it your child is more important than some forum!) <3

You're young, but an earache doesn't justify a custody change. Many young children are prone to ear infections; a friend of mine (who is in her 40s) just had a child and she had earaches almost all the way through her entire first year. Nothing she could do about it. Rushing her to the ER shows that you were concerned about her well being.
In the future, though, I would probably call the doctor and get some advice before rushing to the ER (without a license). They're very happy to help out over the phone.

My little brother did have tons of ear infections. They later had to do surgery for it , but Brad's mom is going way to far. You brought her into this world. You went through the 9 months. She is yours. You can take care of her no matter what and I think the ER situation proves that you will do anything/take care of your child no matter what!

Prone? Try almost guaranteed to get them. Seriously, Its one of the most common things for a baby and even for young children to get. Its right up there with chicken pocks.
