www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29173163/The Jist: A plane has some ice buildup while flying, and dropped out of the sky into a house My Opinion: So sad. What are your thoughts?

The main reason is not the ice buildup, it's probably the communication between the pilots. That's how all plane crashes happen. It's because the two pilots aren't comfortable communicating between each other and therefore can't take the right decisions when un-called-for measures occur. Even still, there shouldn't have been ice buildup on it before taking off...just awful...

Did you read the whole article?
They were the ice buildup for worse as they were flying due to high altitude temperatures and water vapor, and the antifreezing equipment wasn't melting the ice off.
Nothing they could have done.

There was ice buildup when they took off, but not a huge amount so it wasn't a hug problem at the time, but then when they got higher up things went wrong.

Wow thats unlucky for who ever that person's house was, most of the earth's surface is water so most planes crash in the sea...sad
