Metroid Prime: Hunters Overview
(August 31, 2008)
The Story
In the beginning of the game, you receive a telepathic message saying ultimate power lies in the center of the Alimbic Solar System, so the Federation sends the renounced bounty hunter Samus Aran to investigate the meaning of the message and hopefully retrieve the this so called power. But the Federation isn't the only ones who receive the message, six other bounty hunters received the message and travel to the Alimbic Solar System to receive the power for themselves.
Upon Samus' Arrival, she finds that the Alimbic Galaxy has long been destroyed, but as she explores the two planets and two space stations left, she gradually learns about the alimbic society from clues and leftovers of the civilization. She then learns that the Alimbic society was destroyed by a meteor, and out of the meteor arose a monstrous creature known as Gorea.
Gorea copied the cellular structure of its surroundings and copied the utopia's weapons and used them against them. But the Alimbians managed to seal away Gorea until another comes to destroy it. They sealed Gorea away in a Seal Sphere in a starship called the Oubliette. The only way to get into the Seal Sphere is to gather eight keys called octiloths. Once you get the Octiloths you must go to Alinos, one of the planets, and bring them to the Alimbic Cannon which opens the new dimension where the Oubliette lies.
