So we aren't doing anything in music class this week because its the last week til break, and our teacher is showing us this program called Pandora. For those of you who don't know what it is, Pandora is basically an online radio that plays music that they think you will like.
You create your own station based on a band or song name you enter. Then, Pandora creates a station that plays songs from bands that sound similar to the song or band name that you enter. Its really cool if you are interested in discovering new artists and listening music based on what genre you like without you having to choose songs.
You can also rate the songs they play either good or bad. If you like the song, they will play some more songs from that band. If you don't like the song, they reduce the times they play the song or any songs that the band plays. You can also bookmark a song if you like it.
Its a great way to open your mind to music and discover some new artists. They only let you skip 10 songs a day, but that lets you sit there and actually LISTEN to the whole song before you judge it.
