Its a large system of a big tunnel basically that propels protons at crazy speeds. First they did a test by launching a protons around the track at high speeds, and the big test that has everyone worried is doing the same test, but sending another one in the opposite direction, causing them to collide. Basically, they want to find out what will happen. There are a few theories, but noone knows for sure.
A few people have predicted that it will break apart into smaller particles, and we will discover something smaller than protons.
Others predict it will create a blackhole.
